INTRODUCTION
Wettability Tester. To determine the wettability, wicking or horizontal water permeability of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics. An adjustable needle pierces the fabric in the centre of 4 contacts space at 90^o around a circle. The battery operated, rechargeable electronic pipette is positioned above the needle and a preset quantity of salt water solution is delivered to the fabric, simultaneously starting 2 digital timers, one connected to the "North-South" contacts, and one to the "West-East" contacts. The timers stops when the relevant contacts are reached by the solution, providing data on permeability to evaluate fabrics and finishes.
